Tech Buzz Game

The Tech Buzz Game is a fantasy prediction market for high-tech products, concepts, and trends
As a player, your goal is to predict how popular various technologies will be in the future. Popularity or buzz is measured by Yahoo! Search frequency over time.
Predictions are made by buying virtual stock in the products or technologies you believe will succeed, and selling stock in the technologies you think will flop. In other words, you "put your play money where your mouth is."

50 people see the Eiffel Tower

Someone wrote a program to blend Flickr images which share the same tags. No human is involved in choosing, positioning, or blending the images.
Check out all of the other sets, pretty amazing.

No Time to Watch

I am the first to admit I no longer have time to watch a movie anymore. I just read Movie-a-Minute and now I can experience whole movies in less than a minute.
Pretty Woman
Julia Roberts: I'm a hooker, but I don't kiss on the lips.
Richard Gere: I have a lot of money.
Julia Roberts: (smooch)

Ingrid Bergman: Oh, Rick.
Humphrey Bogart: Oh, Ilsa.
Paul Henreid: Oh, nuts.
Conrad Veidt: Oh, (dies).

Drink & Smoke at the same Time

Someone once told me you can't drink and smoke at the same time. I think I may send this to him.

Blogger Problems

I must seem like an old 45rpm record, just playing over and over again.
I have had various blogger problems for the last 6 weeks and just received eight canned replies from blogger responding to my numerous emails.

Please let us apologize for the various problems Blogger has been going through over the last week or so. All of us here depend on Blogger as much as you do, so we completely understand the difficulties and frustration these issues have caused. We are currently putting a lot of focus and energy into improving the performance of our databases. They have been under a considerable load recently, which causes the long delays and occasional errors in navigating the Blogger site. However, we added several new machines yesterday, and we have more on the way. This should put less pressure on each individual machine which will make Blogger more responsive. This is an ongoing process, and we will probably have a few more ups and downs before we get to a more consistently reliable state. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to work on this problem. Thanks for using Blogger. Sincerely, Blogger Support

Also, at bloggerbuzz, they have posted more information about the probelms with blogger.

Have you been victimized or wronged in any way. Here you will find revenge schemes, tactics, ideas, tips and guidance that would scare or pester most offenters into surrender. The ideas are quite funny and creative, and most people would therefore enjoy reading this even when they're not seeking to get even with someone.

Hilarious Play by Play

A guy was driving and leaving a voicemail for a buddy when he witnessed an auto accident. He proceeds to give a blow by blow(will open WMP audio) account of the scene.
Tell me how hard you laughed; it is one of the funniest things I have heard in a long time.

Blogger Issues Again and Again

Once again Blogger has had issues for the last three days. Posts are difficult to complete and at any given time, duplicate posts may appear.
Also, comments work on a limited basis so basically blogger is messed up and no response from blogger support or nothing posted on their support or issues page.
I am not sure why they do not let people know about an ongoining problem!

Clocky, no more Snoozing

Clocky is a clock for people who have trouble getting out of bed. When the snooze bar is pressed, Clocky rolls off the table and finds a hiding spot, a new one every day.

Undersea Encounter

Undersea Encounter is a natty and fun aquarium incorporating an underwater viewing scope. The scope works like a reverse periscope - a system of lenses and mirrors give you the feeling that you are observing from inside a mini submersible. Pointing deep into the tank, the periscope lets you inspect your fish at their own level, and a fish feeder has been positioned right by the scope's lens, so you can watch your fish feed. Use slow gentle movements so you don't create turbulence in the water and disturb or frighten your fish.

At amaztype, enter a word to be spelled and book images spell it out for you. Also, click on a book and see where your typed word appears in the book or title. Also can be used for music and video search.
This is becoming a growing trend, three websites like this in the last three days.

Wriite like an Egyptian

Egyptian writing consisted of over 700 signs, or hieroglyphs, most of which are recognizable as pictures of things. They probably began by representing objects, and later came to stand for sounds, too.
You too can write like an Egyptian here.
The writing below. is of course that of Kuklas.

The Umbrella Guy

First off, let me say I am not following the Jackson trial in any way. I have not read anything on it, avoided TV news stories about it, and think the case should be handled with privacy and respect to both sides.
On the other hand, I have caught glimpses of the guy who holds the umbrella for Jackson and have questions about him.
Does he enjoy his job, how much money does he make, is he trained to be the umbrella holder? I wonder what his private life is like, does his family watch for him on TV, how about his childhood friends, do they say look at ------, he is a TV star.
If anyone has any information on him, feel free to leave a comment. If you would like to add a picture to the Umbrella Guy flickr pool I have set up, by all means, go ahead.

9 Trillion Miles

Did You Know--
Today, passengers in the United States are sitting on more than nine trillion frequent-flier miles. That is enough for 36 million free tickets, at the basic rate of 25,000 miles - or enough to give almost everyone who flew out of Kennedy International Airport last year a free ticket.

Happy Birthday Albert

Albert Einstein was born March 14, 1879. Celebrate his birthday by learning more about this great man. I often quote Einstein and some of my favorites are:
  • "It's not that I'm so smart , it's just that I stay with problems longer ."
  • "The only thing that interferes with my learning is my education."
  • "I never think of the future. It comes soon enough."

What Prisoners Looked Like

A photo set of prisoners from the Arkansas State Prison taken between 1915-1937.
I am surprised by the amount of women and wish I knew what crime they committed.
