Flickr World Map

The flickr map plots 1200 random cities from a pool of 36539 from all over the world. Each time you roll over a location that has no photos it is removed from the map. Reload the page to see more random locations.
When you roll over a city a search is done through the flickr tags looking for the most recent photo with tags that match the city and country name. If nothing is found a search just for the city name is repeated. If the city's name is a common word or exists in multiple countries you might get strange results. For example if there are no photos for "Paris, Texas" you will get a photo from "Paris" which is more likely to be in France than Texas.
Give it a try, a great way to see pictures that are very recent from all over the world.
